Buildings & Grounds Maintenance worker

This job requires the employee to perform tasks that maintain the Company buildings and grounds.
It is imperative to this position that the employee be physically able to lift or move up to 75 pounds.
It is part of the essential functions of the job that the maintenance worker will be able to climb onto ladders and sometimes do bending, crouching and reaching activities.
The employee must be able to work alone, with others, and around others.
There will be verbal contact with others, inside and outside work, extended days, confined areas, extreme hot and cold as well as wet and humid work.
The employee will work around noise, mechanical and electrical equipment, high places, and be exposed to dust, dirt and occasionally fumes.
DUTIES:
1.
Diagnose and make routine repairs and service for buildings as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor 2.
Responds to work orders/calls to identify maintenance and repair needs 3.
With limited direction from the Supervisor, determine the sequence of required tasks/jobs from the work orders/calls, and periodic/regular maintenance responsibilities 4.
Complete work in the following assigned areas - Paint and finish work, carpentry, light plumbing, light electrical, general maintenance and repair 5.
Answer call/order; assess situation; assemble necessary tools and materials; and complete tasks with or without consultation 6.
Clean up work areas upon completion of work 7.
Maintain materials and supplies in appropriate order, return unused materials and supplies and store appropriately, document all pre-approved purchases for billing purposes 8.
Assure safety of customers and employees at work site 9.
Be knowledgeable of personal risks associated with the tasks 10.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with all people 11.
Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively with coworkers Job Type:
