5K a year Job purpose Under the supervision of the Director of Finance, the Purchasing Manager directs all activities pertaining to the purchasing of goods and services for all operations of the casino.
Duties and responsibilities Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) Rules and Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Company and departmental policies and procedures.
Consistently deliver positive, courteous, and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors, and fellow employees.
Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel, recognize and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce excellence in business operations and guest service.
Analyze markets and vendor conditions for quality, availability, and price of materials.
Develops and implements purchasing procedures in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
Review current accruals and follow up on supplier invoices.
Prepare instruction/procedure manuals as required to assist departments with all new systems and policies.
Develop, update, maintain and enforce purchasing policies and procedures.
Review bids and quotations obtained by self or by purchasing staff and make selections and recommendations.
Prepare detailed reports regarding all aspects of the procurement process as required.
Assist in the preparation of the department budget.
Provide detailed analysis and implementation for all special projects as required to improve productivity and increase effectiveness while cutting costs.
Stay abreast of current trends and practices within the area of responsibility and communicate pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports, and employees as appropriate.
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within the area of responsibility.
Safeguard the confidential information of all employees, department, and company records.
Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.
Ensure prompt and discrete notification to senior management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts and/or internal ethics violations.
Promptly perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree or a combination of an associate degree and five or more years of purchasing management experience preferably in gaming and/or hospitality environment.
Ability to obtain a gaming license.
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques, operational systems, and warehouse management.
Inquisitive, detail-oriented with strong quantitative analytical skills and an innovative problem-solving approach.
Must be able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from vendors, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
Excellent MS Office (Excel, MSQuery, Access, PowerPoint) capabilities required Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Must communicate effectively with guests, team members, and management in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to complete standard forms and reports.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
