Tractor Operator

This position combines laboring duties and operation of small hydraulic-driver tractors and hydraulic driven grounds maintenance lawn tractors.
Incumbent is responsible for the care and maintenance of the facility grounds, including roads, parking lots, lawns, trees and shrubs.
Incumbent also provides laborer assistance to journeyman craftsmen and other Engineering Service employees.
The incumbent must have the ability to operate, control, and perform operator maintenance on power equipment used.
This includes geared and hydraulic driven grounds maintenance tractors, chainsaws, etc.
Other assignments include but are not limited to the following:
- Cuts and trims grass areas with small power mowers or trimmers; trims shrubs and trees with hand trimmers, saws, or hedge trimmers.
- Cuts down dead trees using axe or chainsaw.
- Removes or transplants trees and shrubs, and assists in planting new trees or shrubs.
- Fertilizes and waters lawns and does hand grading operation or reseeding lawns and spreading mulch etc.
- Loads and unloads materials, equipment, furniture; moves and arranges furniture.
- Assists in collecting, loading and unloading trash and refuse.
- Breaks up pavement with jackhammers, mixes and pours concrete, patches road areas with asphaltic materials, fill and levels holes in damaged roads and parking areas.
- Digs ditches with shovels or spades and shovels snow from walks and pavement areas; sands icy areas.
- Occasionally drives ton pick-up truck to travel to work-site or pick-up leaves and debris, needles, etc.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
