Staff Nurse (Performance Improvement)
The Performance Improvement (PI) Nurse demonstrates initiative and leadership in implementing and evaluating performance improvement programs for inpatient and outpatient care areas.
These programs are patient outcome driven.
The PI Nurse is an integral member of the Nursing Management Team and collaborates with service-wide interdisciplinary projects that support the mission and goals of VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS).
The PI Nurse has a key role in the implementation of measures related to the VA Nursing Outcome Database (VANOD).
The PI Nurse possesses knowledge of recommending corrections when indicated.
